Is Cartoon Network Inappropriate? Well, yesterday my little brothers were watching it and some show( i think it's called 6teen) and these characters were talking about sex and I do not think that guys should watch this crap. What do you think? | Hi well with the way the are scheduling different shows I just wonder who is the brains trust behind what they choose to show guys.
WHY?
Well if u really listen to the sublime messages they are giving youngsters it's no wonder we are breeding misbehaving juveniles, then again It's only my humble opinion...♥ | Are convicted sex offenders ever barred from subscribing to certain channels? Are people convicted of sex crimes ever barred form subscribing to certain cable channels?
For example, can a guy molester who lured guys over to his house saying that they could watch cartoons ever stopped from subscribing to Cartoon Network, or could a rapist be stopped from subscribing to adult cable channels? | | No, they are not; However, while on probation and parole, they are typically monitored and are banned from such activity. A probationer or a parolee who would be discovered in possession of these would be confronted, and sometimes their probation/parole violated. To help alleviate your fears, the recidivism rate today for convicted sexual offenders is 2-7% (depending on who you ask) after treatment and followup. Your true fear should be the unknown sex offender who is living in your neighborhood watching Cartoon Network and adult cable channels who is too afraid to look for help because of a$$*** like the guy who wants to kill them all. That should be your real fear. | Japanese Cartoon on 'Cartoon Network' many years ago? Hi, many years i go, when cartoon network was broadcasting, there was a naughty japanese cartoon that would come on late at night.
I cannot really remember much about it but here are a few things;
# It was in the future, there was a cat like woman and a group of friends.
#They owned a spaceship with movable arms, think it was red.
#On 1 episode, there we're 2 talking cats who we're able to fight in their own ships
#At the end, the credit music was like... "eee eh, eee oh" in a soft voice
#The big tall dude was kinda like a 'sex pest'
#Defo. Japanese, maybe chinese?..
#I think there was someone called Cherry Ju in the credits.
#Was aired aaages ago.
#I think the main guy had ginger hair and scars/tatoos.
Sorry if this isn't enough info, please try and help me x

this seems to fit. there's a cat woman, red spaceship, and soft ending music. the main guy has ginger hair and scars. the only thing i'm not sure about is whether it was as naughty as you seem to think it was... | Is the Cartoon Network version of Cowboy Bebop available on DVD? I've been thinking about getting the box set so I can watch it with a friend. I've read that Cartoon Network edits out particular scenes I'd like to avoid (Gren's female parts in the shower scene, Faye walking in on the two gays having sex, etc). It wouldn't be that bad for us to watch the unedited version and just skip these scenes, but I'd like to get an edited version if there is one.
I've been searching off and on for days on this one, any info would be appreciated. | | No, only the unedited version is available. | Has Cartoon Network been airing shows with adult humor? I was watching CN with my little brother, and we watched this show called MAD. It's not like MADtv; it's a guyren's cartoon, or supposedly is. The stuff that they had on that show was not what I would call appropriate.
In one of the most recent episodes, Snooki from "Jersey Shore" and the old man from "Up" were flying up in the sky, of course, and Snooki randomly says "Wanna make-out? We're about the same height."
I know you see humor like that a lot of times in movies, but it was awkward having Snooki, about in her 20s, asking an old man, about in his 70-80s, to makeout with her.
There was also a short clip where it showed a cartoon boy standing at a mirror, trying to pop a pimple. He did, and puss overflowed the bathroom and his organs came out. I was disgusted and felt like vomiting! In another short clip, a little boy came up and picked up a fluff ball, and started kissing it. It turns out that it was a dog, and then the dog crapped all in his mouth.
There was a lot of other stuff that I don't really want to go into, either.
It's not the only show, however. The show "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake" has a lot of suggestive content in it. To tell you that truth, I love that show and I think it's hilarious, but some of the stuff I saw on there appalled me.
"You son of a blee-blob!"
"You son of a *train comes by blaring horn*"
I know they didn't outright say the last part to the phrase, but my little brother won't stop quoting that now, even when I tell him to stop. If you were to here a little boy say that out in public, I'm sure you'd look at the parents like "What are you teaching him?!"
On a more recent episode, the name of a certain place (I forgot what it was now) had "sex" in it, and Jake and Finn wouldn't stop laughing at that. I highly doubt that the guys watching it knew what it was, but still, that part wasn't needed.
I watched CN as a little guy with shows like "Totally Spies", "Pokemon", "Digimon", "Samurai Jack", "Hi-Hi Puffy Ami Yumi Show", etc. and it never had content like the present shows do. | I am familiar with the show "MAD," and I do not approve of its
content. From my experience it is disturbing and inappropriate. It's sad to see guys watching such garbage, and it's sad to see the people behind such shows putting mature content into them. They know their audience, but they put this kind of stuff in the shows anyway because they think it will get a laugh and/or draw guys in.
You're not the only one who's noticed the change. Look at these peoples' complaints if you're interested: www.complaintsboard.com/complaint…
I'd suggest that you make your parents aware of what kind of junk CN is airing on these shows, and let them handle it. | Can someone hijack your website by adding stuff after the .com? For example
www.danalbritton.com/journal/medi…
www.danalbritton.com seems legit.
There are a lot of sights like this. | It really depends on how the site has been written. If a site uses a dynamic or scripting langugage (ASP, PHP, perl etc), and expects parameters to be passed in the address bar (known as the GET method) then there is potential for unexpected results, if the information supplied to the parameters is not carefully handled.
Short answer, it depends on how well the code is written. Many professional sites would not be affected greatly by this. | What does my next door neighbor want? She keeps climbing into my room at about 22:30 and climbs under my blanket and says she will tell me a story but all she does is take her clothes off, and starts to moan... whats she doing? btw she is asian, so maybe that's a asian story? I tried telling my mom but she said that was gross and that i should stop watching The Kardasians but i don't care about that, i wanted to ask. Why do people always talk about this "sex" thing on the Cartoon Network channel? thanks in advance! | | She's wants you inside her. | What's that song about sex and cash? I don't know most of it, but I distinctly remember something about sex and cash.
"Move it, move it, move it, fast, gotta get that sex and cash."
I know cartoon network's Adult Swim currently has an ad with the song, and it was a theme song (it played in the commercials) for a Fox show a few years ago about two cops (one black, one white). | Hey man if you find out, post it for additional details or something. I need to know what that song name is. I just asked on the adult swim website LOL. so hopefully i find out soon.
But that song sounds BA!!!! | What has happened to DISNEY CHANNEL and NICKELODEON? Those used to be good channels but now all I see are innapropriate shows for my little sister to be watching. Such as the naked brothers band, drake and josh, and so on. Even cartoon network isn't that great anymore. Kids can't watch any tv without seeing sex and the two channels that you think are guy friendly turn out to have shows with not so guy friendly topics. If you have nothing good to say then dont say it. | I agree.
I certainly think that the "adults" have enough channels of their own without invading the guy's few channels that they have.
AND what's with the ridiculous "adult" cartoons that take over the guy's channels late at night? THOSE don't need to be on those channels AT ALL....I don't care what time it is.
AND guy's cartoon movies! Oh, my gosh! I AM AN ADULT and I don't "need"some adult-sexual humor in order to enjoy a movie with my guys! It's a guy's movie for gosh sakes---I DO expect it to be for acceptable for guys. And, again, I think there are plenty of other movies for adults to pick from. Not to mention that not EVERY adult needs or wants crude sexual humor in every movie that we see. It's absurd.
Good topic!!! So, very, very true.....and sad. |
