What shoud i do if i want to go into teen glamour modeling?? im just staring off and i wanted to go into teen modeling but i dont know how to do it...i want to know if ne one can help me with this and tell me how much its going to cost... |
To be a model...you first have to find an agency there are really cool ones to whic you just send your photos and they will show it to big brands (gucci valentino , galliano, chanel..) and if they like you, they'll contact you!! It quite easy to find these services: go through the links on google...sorry don't know where you live so can't be precise on that...the prices can go up to 150$ but some times its worth it!!
Hope it helped |
What does "Teen Glamour" Modeling consist of? So I'm almost 17 and finally got myself model management company representation. So I was talking to them and they said that they would like to represent me in the commercial/print and glamour divisions (high fashion/runway after a bit of work with their nutritionist in the future). I know what commercial print is, and I know what glamour is, but how does glamour different for teens? Traditional glamour seems a bit.. raunchy for a minor. So what should I be expecting? |
Glamour modeling is topless, bikini, lingerie or nude modeling. Of course at 17 you can't do nude but they will do what they can legally get away with. And the day you turn 18 they are going to expect you to take your top off
I wouldn't do glamour modeling unless that's what you want to do with your life. With the internet any pictures you take exist online forever. Do you really want your classmates, employers, parents or even your guys one day to see half-naked pictures of you? This is the type of work you'd be doing as a teen glamour model www.trueteenbabes.com/ and www.modeljordanleigh.com/
Are you and your parents ok with that? Do you really want boys at your school being able to see these type of pictures online?
Once you start in glamour, you can never go back to runway, editorial or commercial modeling. You can go the other way - look at all the Victorias Secret models who started on runway. But nobody starts in lingerie/swimwear then moves into high fashion. You aren't taken seriously in the industry so that's something to really think about before you do anything.
Runway is NEVER called glamour modeling unless you were doing a lingerie show or swimsuit competition. Anything high fashion would be referred to as Fashion, Runway or Editorial, not glamour |
Do some teen girls find sexuality liberating? A poll once suggested that 60% of British teen girls prefer stripping or glamour modelling as ideal careers, as opposed to being doctors or teachers.
Do you think that it is liberating for them to be sexual or is it simply part of the fame culture and desire to be known? |
The latter I believe.
Just as teenage boys more often than not think they would rather be rock stars or star athletes as well. I like to see it as a teenage/adolescent kind of thing more than anything else.
But most everyone thankfully figures what's in store for them by the time they hit 21 or so. |
What specific things do teen models do? I went to Glamour Shots a couple months ago and got some pictures done for the sole purpose of a Christmas card, but they came out so amazing and I got so many compliments that my mom showed them to New Faces (some modeling thingy). They called yesterday morning and set up an appointment with my mom for Thursday. If they like me (physically + personality wise), they'll send out a profile to companies and I'll be a teen model.
But, what the hell do teen models do?
I know the obvious answer: show off clothes in pictures. But what kinds of magazines would a teen model be in? How much do they get paid? Would it be regular teen clothes or something more high fashion-y? Do teens get pulled out of school for photo shoots (just asking)? If you're a teen model and know how this stuff works, any help would be appreciated. Thankss (: |
| lots of the models you see in magazines are girls in their teens usually 16+ so ud be doing photo-shoots, runway and stuff like that.. ud have to get pulled out of school for work, the designer isnt going to change the time of anything to make it more suitable for you... but good luck its hard work and a lot of fun |
How do I become a teen model or actress? I'm 14, nearly 15 and recently I've become really interested in following my dreams to be a model (not catwalk coz im too short, and not glamour) or actress. Im just not sure how to get there. I've read some things on being a model and none of them have been that helpful. I would love it if someone could give me some helpful advice :) |
you're still growing but if you want to act you at the perfect age to get serious. Find your local film commission and ALLL your local talent agents and ask then who they would suggest that you use for your first set of head shots. Be honest with them and say you have never acted, sometimes this is good because casting directors will take you because you listen better and will obey.lol. as for your height. commercials don't really need height and all that. I hope I helped and lifted your spirits just a bit. oh btw. check craigslist under GIGS>CREW and email them for the casting director...it's cheating but that's how you get what you want. never go to the talent part of the craigslist...lastly when you are old enough ask for a summer job or internship at your local film commission and volunteer at the yearly film festival near you, that way you get chummy with all the Directors.
Best of Luck,

Do you think this is normal for a teen? I have a friend who wants to become a glamour model. She is so exicted about it and so was i until...She used to weigh 78 kgs and 5'6 then she went on a very nice diet ( i admit) and reduced to 48 kgs. I am really worried though i must admit she is really looking nice but is this normal because i really do not want her becoming anorexic or bulimic. Is this okay for a model? Is this normal weight for a teen? |
| If I did the conversion correctly that's around 103 pounds. At 5'6" that is too low! I don't know how long it took her to get down to that weight. But, even if she lost the weight in a slow, healthy way, she's too slim! I would talk to her about it. It certainly doesn't seem healthy to me. I am no doctor, but that seems VERY slim for that height. Talk to her, or to her parents, and if you deem that she needs help please make sure she gets it! |
Which type of modelingis better? Runway
Hair
Makeup
TV
High fashion
Glamour
Petite
Teen Model
SHowroom
i am 15 years old.. so that you can pick. |
| Teen Modelling would be the best for you right now, but there are girls your age on the runway. If you have the height and a unique look, then go for it. |
What kind of model do I sound good for? I'm 14, 5 ft 4.5 inches, and weigh 115 pounds. I have light brown eyes, dark brown hair below my shoulders, and my breast size is a 34-C. I am a bit curvaceous. As young as I am, I do workout on the treadmill or the elliptical 2 times a week. I am very photogenic. Friends, family, and even teachers (oddly enough), comment on how "gorgeous" my hair is. Or how "Pretty I am". I've always loved to watch and look at magazines that had to do with modeling. I have always wanted to model since I was a little guy. But anyways, what type of model do you think I sound good for?
Here are a few I had in mind..
Commercial print model
Glamour model
Bikini model
Catalogue model
Teen model
Convention model
Plus model |
| I think you could either be one (or more) of these three types of models: Commercial Print, Catalogue, or bikini. I say this because from the way you described youself you seem to have the right type of look for that sort of thing. I.E beautiful hair, curves, a fit body (I'm not A perv!), and you photograph well. Glamour models are usually nude (at least the ones I've seen/heard of) and since your only 14 im pretty sure that's like guy pornography. You don't sound large enough to be a plus size model so I don't think you'd fit there either. Teen vogue models are usually very tall (you're height would have you be considered petite) and don't usually have large breasts as you've said you do. Finally, I apologize because I'm not quite sure what a convention model is. Good luck with whatever/whichever you choose. |
Who is reputable for commercial modeling in Toronto? If all the "reputable" agencies only deal with glamour modeling for runway and high-end professional shoots(Ford, Elite, Sutherland, Elmer Olsen), where do teens go to get into commercial work such as print advertising/television commercials? |
Go to imdb and check managers and agents in Canada, Toronto. I've seen some before when I was looking for a manager.
Click on the imdb link below, then click on SEARCH on the top of the page... there should be a COMPANIES tab under there. When you get to that page, search AGENCIES or MANAGERS. They'll have a list of them and you should be able to find some in Toronto.
Best of luck. |
Do you find it depressing that 50% of teen girls consider Abi Titmuss a good role model? 63% of teen girls would rather be a 'glamour' (means topless in the UK) model than a teacher or doctor.
25% would like to be a lap dancer.
About 50% consider Abi Titmuss a role model (most famous for sex vidoes and nude modelling), while only 9% chose JK Rowling (Harry Potter):

Yes I do.
What a society we have created for the youth.
What kind of society rewards getting them out/off with fame and fortune?
Everyday we are bombarded with images of plastic, inflated self -mutilating Barbies who can´t string a sentence together, yet we hang on their every word.
Disagree with Dave.
A few generations ago it wasn´t the norm to mutilate your body and it wasn´t easy to make millions out of being famous for nothing.
No Dave.
When I talk about mutilating your body I mean artificially inflating your mammary glands. |
